Due to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we're experimenting the largest remote work experiment. But did we really need a pandemic to take us to the future of work? Thanks to the digital era and available tools, the virtual workplace has become the new office. After all, we can't escape the future of work. By 2028, 73% of all departments will have remote workers.
As opposed to popular belief, only 60% of the time spent in the office is productive. Without countless meetings, distractions, and interruptions from colleagues; remote workers are 13% more productive than in-office workers. Why is that? In a survey of 3000 people, 75% of employees indicated they got fewer interruptions from colleagues and distractions.
The benefits of working from home are not only tangible, but also intrinsical. The 2019 State of Remote Work Survey found that over 80% of employees would feel more trusted, recommend their company to a friend, manage their work-life better and be happier if able to work remotely. These are all indirectly related to increasing employee retention.
